Miami Travel Guide
Unlike any other getaway destination, you need not watch the calendar for this one place-Miami. It's an exceptional place where you can rush in at any time of the year. For the party animals- the night life is as rocking as ever and for the hopelessly romantics- the beaches are as enchanting in December as in April. But if it's your pocket that determines the time of your vacation, a little more research is required. The peak and the "heavy on your pocket" period is from January to April. As for the budget trip, cheap fares n emptier beach, June to September is the perfect time. Also keep in mind folk's MIAMI is one place people flock in at all times, so get your bookings done well in advance.
The weather is warm most of the time. So a hat and a sunscreen should be packed before your swimsuits. All of Florida lies on the hurricane belt, so Miami is at risk for tropical storms and hurricanes. So just in case, purchasing travel insurance isn't a bad idea. apart from keeping a close watch on the weather at the time of your departure, it may even cover the cost, like I said." just in case". If you have a high hand at Spanish, then you need not worry, although even English serves the purpose.
Travelling around Miami is a cake walk with the recent developed bus services which has become more reliable than the past. The elaborate public bus system covers the entire county. Even metro rail is another option but is not as expanded as the bus system. Other attraction is the metro mover, an elevated people mover system, free of cost, is the most efficient way to move around downtown Miami. Avoid taxi- they fall in list of heavy pocket!

There are a plenty of places to visit in Miami like the Frost Art Museum, Vizkaya Museum and Gardens, Miami Metro zoo, Ancient Spanish Monastry. But then when in Miami, nothing like being on the beach. And when on the shopping spree -remember sales tax in Miami is 7%.Best places to shop are Collins Avenue and Lincoln road. As for the food, Miami may be known for the Latin and the Cuban cuisine, do not miss the other restaurants esp. Tantra.and nightclubs in Miami outnumber the restaurants. You would give a miss to a decent Chinese and a perfect bite of pizza, but rest all it assures to serve.
As for the nightclubs, guys don't come in packs, unless it's a gay bar. You need to carry women and most clubs accept only cash. And rowdy behavior of any kind will only make you a fool and you may end up being thrown out. So be nice and bring along women-just in case. As for thefts and criminals, in the recent past, cases of stealing luggage being left in car have been encountered, so carry minimal. And carry the minimal; don't leave it in the car. Rest all I can say is enjoy the sub tropical heaven washed by sparkling light and kissed by enveloping ocean. And don't forget the sunscreen!
